You cross Yamahra Creek and head up the same route as Main Ridge 4WD Track, then a right hand turn down into a clearing beside Yamahra Creek. Drive across Yamahra Creek and start immediately to commence a steep climb. The slope is narrow and in close proximity to trees with no room for maneuver. In some sections loose stones allow no gripping so it's a straight out climb toward a hard right turn. The track has some slight curves but is relatively straight. Look out for the sign on the left as you come up to the turn. If you go straight ahead just past the right hand turn there is a pad on the left which can be used as a very cramped turnaround area. The track now follows the contours around the slope with very little gradient and leads onto a ridge - one end of which is the boundary of Mt Barney National Park and the other a turnaround just below "Benny Hill". This is an ideal place for a cuppa and to take in the views of The Great Divide.
