Big Rock Camp Site
Drive along the main ridge track and continue up to where it is too steep to drive any further. You are there!
A small flat site welcomes you to a rainforest gully on one side and tall gum trees giving you plenty of shade on the other. On the western side the camp site falls away steeply to Yamahra Creek. Directly above you is Mt Barney National Park and you can’t go any higher..
So . . . stop for a picnic or stay for a few days. This is the ultimate in remote camping and seclusion. It is the furthest from the main camping area and has no services. The track is very steep in places and in the wet weather too hazardous to drive. This is a camp site for the dedicated and experienced 4WD camper – but the rewards are there!
